Resources for Parents and Teachers
I survived the back-to-school teacher work days, with only a couple hairs pulled out of my head as I was stressing. As I was sitting in my last meeting of the day, I started thinking about all the resources we'd been discussing at school this week. We have a lot of freedom to try new things at our school. This means we can each test out new programs and strategies in our own classrooms, and if we fall in love with them, we can share them with the group for the rest of us to try if they think it will work for them too.
Earlier this week I created a tab of links for websites students can use in the classroom. Today I've created another tab just for teachers and parents. These are all things I've tried in my own classroom and seen work successfully for students and families. You will find links to the programs/websites along with a description of their purpose and benefits. I'll be adding to it as I remember more of them. I feel like so many of the things I do in my room have become second-nature after a while and I forget where the tools and strategies all came from until I think about it for a bit. Please check it out by clicking the link at the top of the page in the future without digging for this blog post, or you can click here now.
